GLEN ALLEN, VA – Hohner, Inc., a German based manufacturer of world famous musical instruments, has issued a limited edition Jubilee Melodica to celebrate the 50th birthday of the instrument it introduced to the world in the late 1950s.  The Melodica’s use of mouth-blown free reeds makes it an extremely expressive instrument for players of all musical genres. Originally a tool for music education, the Melodica quickly expanded to professional musicians. Notable Melodica players have included Paul McCartney, Joe Zawinul of Weather Report, Jack DeJohnette, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, The Hooters, Rick Davies of Supertramp, and Bernie Worrell of Parliament/Funkadelic.

In celebration of the Melodica’s 50th birthday, Hohner is extremely proud to announce a special Jubilee Melodica, which features a technically improved keyboard, 32 keys, an extra mouthpiece, and an exclusive carrying bag. The Jubilee Melodica is finished in candy apple red with black and red keys denoting its commemorative significance.  Retail price is $350.00.
